The Videonet Connected TV Awards 2016

The Videonet Connected TV Awards embrace everything that is bold, innovative and timely in the television industry, rewarding the efforts of content owners and broadcasters, platform operators, online service providers, network owners, the advertising industry and their technology and solutions providers. Now in their fifth year, the awards are overseen by Videonet, judged by a panel of independent judges and presented in a ceremony at Connected TV World Summit (March 16-17 in London).

As always, the categories reflect the market segments where there are particularly high levels of innovation. This year we have three new categories – ‘The Data-Driven TV Award’, ‘The Big Immersive TV Prize’ and ‘Best Advanced Advertising Campaign’. There will also be special citations for ‘Beating the Ad-blockers’, ‘Beating the live events pirates’ and ‘Making TV more millennial-friendly’.

(You can read more about each category here)

Categories 1-5: Four entries will be shortlisted from each category; there will be one winner and one commended entry. Entries in categories 1-5 will also be considered for ‘special citations’ for ‘Beating the Ad-blockers’, ‘Beating the live events pirates’ or ‘Making TV more millennial-friendly’. As always, each category winner will compete for the prize of ‘Outstanding Achievement in TV 2016’.

Categories 6-7: The advertising categories have their own judging panel so cannot be considered for the ‘Outstanding Achievement in TV 2016’ award. Videonet is compiling a list of nominations for these categories – if you want to be considered you must email details to John Moulding.  (There is no charge if you are nominated into the advertising categories). Judges will select a shortlist of three before deciding the winner of these two categories.

Deadline for Entries

Categories 1-5: Entries must be received by Friday, January 15 (midnight Pacific time). See payment details.

Categories 6-7, please email John Moulding by Monday, December 14 (midnight Pacific time) if you want to be considered for nomination. There is no charge if you are nominated for the advertising categories.

Shortlists and Ceremonies

The shortlists will be announced on March 1 and the awards results will be announced at the Videonet Connected TV Awards ceremony on March 16 (held at the end of Day One during Connected TV World Summit 2016).
